Highlights & Collections
The Clark Art Institute is best known for its French
impressionist paintings, including more than thirty by
Renoir. Also included are significant American paintings
by Homer, Sargent, and Remington, and old master paintings.
Selections from the extensive collections of English and
American silver and continental porcelain, prints and
drawings, and sculpture are also on view. A variety of
special exhibitions, concerts, films, lectures, and tours
are offered year-round. The Clark's grounds are extensive
and include nature trails, and herb garden, and picnic
facilities.

SUMMER BAND CONCERTS
Outdoor concerts are an annual tradition at the Clark. Picnics, blankets, and
lawn chairs are encouraged; free balloons will be given to children. On these
evenings, the galleries will remain open until the start of the concerts. In the
event of rain, concerts will be moved to the auditorium.
Hours:
- Open Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00-5:00 year-round
- Also open Memorial Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, and
- Mondays in July and August, 10:00-5:00
- Closed Mondays (except as above)
- Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
