Statement of Purpose:

To highlight the contributions of Nordic immigrants and their descendants in the development of the Pacific Northwest and to serve as a cross-cultural bridge among peoples of the Nordic countries and the United States.

Highlights:

"Dream of America". An exciting historical description of immigration and the hardships and tribulations of traveling across the vast American continent. Gives a lively, authentic interpretation of American history. The "Dream of America" takes you on the actual journey from the old country on a ship across the Atlantic Ocean to Ellis Island. From Ellis Island you continue into New York and travel west on to the Pacific Northwest. Fun, educational and family friendly exhibits.

Museum Shop: Open during regular museum hours. Carries a large collection of gifts, special books, postcards, and jewelry.
