"To discover and share knowledge about plants, in order to preserve and enrich life."
The mission of the Center for Plant Conservation is to conserve and restore the rare native plants of the United States.
Tower Grove House: Visit founder Henry Shaw's country home. Mr. Shaw built his home in 1849. The house has been fully restored with authentic Victorian furnishings, many which belonged to Mr. Shaw.
The English Woodland Garden: Enjoy quiet paths that wind under a canopy of mature trees. Features native plants, wildflowers, and much more.
The Japanese Garden: An authentic 14-acre outdoor strolling garden that includes an 4 1/2-acre lake, waterfalls, and bridges.
Kemper Center for Home Gardening: Inside see displays, exhibits, a reference library and more. Outside enjoy 23 demonstration areas on residential landscaping ideas and techniques.
The Climatron Conservatory: One of the first geodesic dome conservatories built in the United States. It houses a living tropical rain forest, waterfalls, and hundreds of tropical plant species.
