The Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art explores diverse cultural
themes and fosters community spirit through art exhibitions,
collections, and educational programs designed to enhance awareness,
understanding, and appreciation of our contemporary world. The Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art renovated a
historic building adjacent to the newly restored City Hall on Hemming
Plaza at 333 North Laura Street in downtown Jacksonville. Opened in
Spring of 2003, the Museum featured loft-style interiors that house the
Museum’s permanent collection of twentieth century art, traveling
exhibitions, and extensive educational facilities, plus a new Museum
shop and café. Preview exhibitions are scheduled throughout the
year in preview gallery space within the new facility. Please
call (904) 366-6911 for membership, for preview exhibition hours, and
information on the renovations.
