Statement of Purpose:

To establish and maintain a museum for the exhibition of the permanent collection...and to promote and cultivate the improvement of the fine arts, for the education and benefit of the residents of Glens Falls and vicinity and the general public.


Highlights & Collections:

14th to 20th century European and American artworks, textiles and rare books.

An important collection of European and American art.  An extraordinary variety of works by masters such as Raphael, da Vinci, Rubens, Rembrandt, Cezanne, Renoir, van Gogh, Picasso, Whistler, Eakins and Homer cover the walls of Hyde House, a stately Florentine styled villa.


Permanent collection as well as temporary exhibitions in four additional gallery spaces on three floors.

Tuesday through Saturday, 10AM to 5PM; Sunday 12NOON to 5PM; closed on Mondays and National holidays.

Admission & Directions:

Admission to the museum is free, voluntary donations accepted. There is a fee for group tours, call to preschedule.  Directions: Located 20 mins. north of Saratoga Springs and 15 mins. south of Lake George, NY. Take NYS I-87 exit 18 to Glens Falls.  Follow hospital signs into downtown; proceed straight through light onto Warren Street (Rt. 32).  Museum is five blocks down on right.
