Statement of Purpose:

Collect, preserve and interpret whaling and maritime histories of Cold Spring Harbor and Long Island.

Highlights & Collections:

 Authentic, Fully-equipped 19th Century Whaleboat;
 Extensive Collection of Scrimshaw and Sailors’ Arts;
 Natural History of Whales;
 History of Long Island Whalers and Whaling;
 Special Collection Library and Archives.

Exhibits & Special Events:

 Wide Range of Educational Programming;
 Regularly Scheduled Special Programs, Presentations and Lectures.
