Statement of Purpose

The Washington Pavilion is a community entertainment, cultural and educational facility located in the historic former Washington High School. The Washington Pavilion features the Visual Arts Center, Kirby Science Discovery Center, Wells Fargo CineDome Theater and Husby Performing Arts Center.

Highlights & Collections

The Washington Pavilion is a multi-faceted cultural facility: 1. The Visual Arts Center; 2. The Kirby Science Discovery Center; 3. The Wells Fargo CineDome Theater and 4. The Husby Performing Arts Center, which feature a 1900-seat theater.

300 works of art, primarily by regional artists.

Visual Arts Center Permanent Collection and collection of Northern Plains Tribal Arts (on loan from American Indian Services, Sioux Falls, SD)

Two exhibition floors of the Kirby Science Discovery Center

Admission & Directions:

There is no charge for most exhibits in the Visual Arts Center.

Downtown Sioux Falls on Main Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets.
