SAN FRANCISCO - After its successful
debut in 1998, San Francisco International Art Exposition
(SFIAE), presented by Thomas Blackman Associates,
announces that the third annual fair will be held Friday, Sept.
22- Monday, Sept.
25, 2000 in the Herbst and Festival
Pavilions at the historic Fort Mason Center. Featuring more than 100
international galleries, which represent 12 countries and more than 2,000
artists, this years show is an eclectic collection of modern and
contemporary artwork in a variety of artistic styles and media that range
from painting, drawing, photography and printmaking to sculpture, video,
installation and mixed media.
From museum-quality masterworks by Andy Warhol, Georgia OKeeffe, David
Hockney, Edward Weston, Richard Avedon and Willem de Kooning to works by
young, cutting-edge artists, the San Francisco International
Art Exhibition provides private collectors, museum
curators, corporate consultants and art enthusiasts with an opportunity to
view and select from the countrys most comprehensive exposition of
20th century art.
Thomas Blackman Associates (TBA) was founded in 1992 to showcase the finest offerings of contemporary and modern art to attract a diverse international group of private collectors, museums and foundation curators to its expositions and exhibitions. The company annually presents Art Chicago, the San Francisco International Art Exposition and international artists exhibits in the TBA/Exhibition Space, 230 W. Huron St. in Chicagos River North district. In addition, TBA formed BEST Company in 1999, which develops and maintains exhibition walls and innovative lighting systems for the presentation of art.
